Sage is a 15-hand, 2020 Friesian/Morgan cross gelding. He is very intelligent and has a gentle, pleasing personality. Watching him move all day is a joy; he is a very floaty mover with excellent conformation. Sage is a willing boy, always ready for whatever we ask! He has excellent ground manners, no vices, and requires no maintenance. He has 3 comfortable gaits, and smooth transitions. Quiet, easygoing, level-headed, and reliable sums him up. He is not sensitive-skinned, he will turn out in a large herd, and respects all types of fencing. He has a great walk, trot, and canter, side pass, backs up, and knows how to use his body. This boy is fun to ride, with a soft mouth and lots of impulsion; his work under saddle is always eager and willing to please. Sage loves trail riding! He has miles of trail experience, will cross any water, ditch, or log you encounter, and can go up or down the steepest hills. Other livestock don’t bother him; cows, dogs, sheep, goats, he makes friends with them all. He loads well and will stand patiently tied all day. With his long, flowing mane and sharply defined features, he’s a perfect model for photo shoots. This is a horse you can just get on and go.
