Wheezy is a three year old Gypsy cross with just enough feather and foot to make him look fancy, without all the upkeep that comes with the full blood gypsies! He stands 13.2 and his feet are big enough to make some quarter horses blush! He is currently giving his best impression of a wooly mammoth, but he sheds out into a dark buckskin in the spring and hangs onto those big pretty dapples!
Nowhere in my plans did I have offering Wheezy written down, and believe me when I say, it breaks my heart to let him leave, but he is simply too good to keep hidden away here in these hills when he will bring so much joy to a family needing something safe, sound, and reliable.
Wheezy walks out like a big horse and has drug a handful of calves at brandings this spring, gathered pastures as the sun came up, and meandered through town this summer. He knows his leads, is starting to get his flying lead change figured out, has a fancy little spin, and is nice and soft in either a bridle or just a halter. He will cross water, loads and unloads with ease, and would halter himself if he had thumbs. He is an absolute pet and loves to be in your pocket any chance he gets.
Though he is young, he is an old soul and has never once left me feeling unsafe. Brush the snow off his back and crawl on. He will get you to and from safe and sound!
I truly feel he would be suitable for anyone ready to step up from that old faithful to a young and eager yet SAFE gelding. Wheezy is still perfecting his neck rein, but he is the PERFECT project for your little one who is ready to finish their own horse their way, without the risk of starting a colt from scratch. He has a fantastic foundation and is ready for his next family. He has packed kids around some in the arena and is ready to find his forever family with hopefully a handful of kids to teach to love horses! Wheezy has been an absolute joy to have and anyone who is lucky enough to bring him home, will be certain to never find another like him!
As with any of our horses, please bring him back at any time for a refresher should you ever feel the need, or just to brush off the cobwebs after a long winter. We want nothing more than for Wheezy to be loved and enjoyed by his new family and we we will go above and beyond to make sure he find his forever!
