Tolle Stute

Sally is a fantastic leisure mare. She is perfect for trail riding and handles outdoor excursions with ease. She crosses bridges and water without hesitation, enjoys swimming and splashing around. She also passes under motorway bridges comfortably, and being ridden alongside highways does not stress her at all. In the arena, she is a bit less motivated, but with consistent leadership, she will happily go her rounds there as well. She has a real passion for classical dressage, performing piaffe (even under saddle) and Spanish walk (also under saddle) – currently only on the ground. With continued training, these movements could certainly be performed under saddle too. She also performs lateral work at the walk, including side-passes towards you. She is familiar with parking and does this very neatly. She can be led and ridden by small children, although due to her versatility, she may not be suitable for complete beginners. She currently lives in a small open stable, which I hope will remain her home, as she becomes very stressed in a box. Loading is no problem. This year, I took her out for the first time to a retirement home, and I was able to perform all exercises in front of an audience. Clapping from spectators did not make her nervous. Once she has built trust, she is willing to do anything. She tends to test her limits at first to see how far she can go.
