Competitive Dressage and French National Stud Akhal-Teke Stallion

An esteemed addition to the 2026 stallion line-up, we are honored to partner with Valt Ay Teke to represent Akhal-Teke Aydogdy (Real x Orbita, Kaplan sire line, Ovgan dam line) for North America! Frozen only, available to the USA and Canada.

Aydogdy is a magnificent 16hh black stallion bred by Jean Christophe Bourguignon in France and now excelling in dressage with the wonderful Valerie Tritter. He has a balanced build, beautiful movement, great working mind, and a lot of presence.

Aydogdy debuted his career last fall, winning double bronze dressage medals at the 2025 European Championships where we had the pleasure of meeting him in person. This year, Aydogdy became the first Akhal-Teke stallion accepted to the renowned Haras de Gelos, a national stud of France established in 1808 by Napoleon Bonaparte! There he will continue his development with the added guidance of Catherine de Lartigue. He was presented at Gelos’ 2026 opening day in the “courtyard of the greats” alongside prestigious Arabians, Thoroughbreds, and Anglo-Arabians–becoming a stallion to watch.

Aydogdy inherited floaty movements, strong back, and great character from his sensational sire Real, who was a Reserve Champion of Russia from the late racing Veles Stud farm. His dam, Orbita, is an exquisite and typey mare from Stavropol with a deeply sportive lineage. The union of the two produced a lovely athlete in Aydogdy. He is a grandson of Regina, an elite producer from Gaidamak 12 and beloved mare Raketa; Regina was also dam to elite stallion Pairregin from which we imported breedings from in 2024. Aydogdy is grandson to quality producer Ashug. He is great grandson of great racer stallion Orlan from jumping/racing champion 943 Arslan and of champion producer mare Oprava (both of the famous Oktava-Ovgan family). He is also great grandson of elite stallion Khutor, an exceptional son of outstanding parents Halif (who was one of Fakirpelvan’s best sons, a successful racehorse, and an elite producer) and Takappara 2 (best daughter from Olympic Gold dressage stallion Absent). Within 4-gen, Aydogdy also carries superdam Aisona, foundation sires Kaplan and Gundogar, and Dagestan stallion Ahmed.
