We here at Triple R proudly offer you Whiskey, This Golden colored gentleman comes to you standing 15.2 hands weighing 1,200lbs. He is a very gentle horse and on a scale of 1 to 10 I would call Whiskey a 2 on quietness and temperament. He is one of those all around geldings that is gentle and forgiving enough for those novice riders but is smart enough to recognize who the rider and when its time to work so an advanced can get out and ranch or rope on him. Whiskey came to us in September of his 3yr old year with approximately 60 days of riding. For the last year and a half he has been in our program. He is absolutely amazing in the arena, he holds his collection well, is doing flying lead changes, half passes, sidepasses and started on counter canters. With all that training he could easily do Western Dressage. Whiskey is ready to go to a team roping jackpot and win! My son’s started heading on him He does a great job taking that steer across the arena for his heeler. With his stout and athletic abilities he handles a big steers with ease. He has only been in the practice pen and has never been competed on but is ready for competitions. As we talk more about Whiskey, It only gets better he is an awesome trail mount and is very confident on obstacle courses, he’s been in the river with water up to his belly ,crosses logs, climbs steep inclines and will sit on his butt to slide down them too. Or ride him into town for an ice cream on that hot summer day, as he has been on the highway and is safe in big traffic. Whiskey is the total package, You name it from Team roping, Extreme cowboy trail challenges, Dressage, Ranch work or that stunning trail riding companion. He is like a puppy dog to have around our younger children handle and groom him safely. Whiskey is one that will make you want to go to the barn he greets with a nicker, it doesn’t bother him to be stalled or turned out he’s chill either way. You can ride him everyday or once a month he stays the same. Best of all he will always be that golden palomino color.
