Sage is a 7-year-old, 15HH grulla and white Paint mare, built as thick and wide as she is tall. She has a friendly personality and a very steady mind. She has been raised in the Pacific Northwest her entire life, making her extremely sure-footed and confident on all kinds of terrain. Sage has plenty of trail experience and is happy to ride out alone or in a group, traveling along at a relaxed, easy pace. She has been exposed to overnight camping, water crossings, bridges, wildlife, and all types of farm animals including dogs, chickens, and cows, and she handles new situations with a calm, willing attitude. She is not finished in a specific discipline but has a solid foundation in both the arena and on the trail. In the arena, Sage knows her leads, has a nice stop and reverse, and is very easy to guide. On the trail, she stays on track, watches her footing, and doesn’t get bothered by new environments. She does well with time off and does not come back fresh or silly, which makes her an easy, low-maintenance partner. Sage has great ground manners—she stands tied quietly, is easy to groom and tack up, picks up all four feet without fuss, and loads and hauls in the trailer with no problems. She is a safe, sensible mare with a sweet demeanor who wants to be your friend and would make a dependable trail partner or a great all-around horse for someone looking to continue her training in any direction.
