I’m proud to offer a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own one of the best horses I’ve ever had the privilege to own and ride — Corndog. Corndog is a 10-year-old dun gelding standing 15 hands tall. Horses like him are few and far between. You can search for years and still not find another with this kind of versatility, honesty, and natural ability. Corndog rides English, Western, bareback, bridleless, and at liberty. Corndog has a solid foundation in liberty work. His liberty work is something special. He will join up, follow you willingly, and respond to body cues with no halter, no lead, and no pressure. He mirrors your movement, stays hooked on, and genuinely wants to be with you. This is not something that can be forced — it comes from his natural disposition and the kind of mind he has. Horses that are this honest and connected are few and far between. Plenty of horses get labeled “once in a lifetime,” but Corndog truly is the real deal. He is a standout in every sense of the word. Corndog is the kind of horse that works for any level rider and any age rider. He has the training and buttons that experienced riders appreciate, yet he is kind, honest, and safe enough to confidently take care of beginners. He is the go-to horse in my barn for everyone in my family. Every person who rides him enjoys him and loves his quiet, willing disposition. He has been ridden by riders of all ages and has proven himself time and time again with each one. We are not afraid to turn the kids loose on him. My 5-year-old niece can confidently lead Corndog around with our little cousin in the saddle, and she can also ride him by herself without any issue. The older kids have loved taking him out on the trails and have gained so much confidence and experience in the saddle with him. We have genuinely loved our time with Corndog. He is every bit as gentle as he is versatile, and I truly believe he will excel in any direction someone chooses to take him. This gelding has also been used in every aspect of ranch work. From loading trucks to sorting cattle, Corndog absolutely loves his job. He is very cowy, has been roped off of in the pasture, and has been used to doctor and sort. He is especially handy when it comes to penning cattle and is the kind you can rely on to get the job done right. He is comfortable with kids playing around him, dogs roughhousing, and all sorts of everyday commotion. From lawn mowers to semis, Corndog has seen it all. He has been around all types of farm equipment and handles it with ease. He is happy to do any job asked of him and has also been a huge help in training other colts. Corndog is comfortable with a tarp, crosses logs and bridges, is not bothered by the crack of a bull whip, and tolerates all the everyday shenanigans that happen around here. Even with extended time off, you can pull him out of the stall or pasture, saddle him up, and ride right off with no issues. Corndog stalls well, gets along well with other horses in turnout, is easy to catch, and is an all-around pleasure to have in the barn. He is accustomed to small pets, wildlife, and both small and large livestock. He stands quietly to be groomed and tacked, with or without cross ties, and he will side-pass over to a fence or mounting block for easy mounting. Under saddle, Corndog is athletic, balanced, and carries himself beautifully. He is just as enjoyable in the arena as he is on the trail, and he is equally comfortable riding in town through traffic. He correctly picks up both leads on cue, pivots, side-passes with ease, has a lovely extended trot, and lopes beautiful circles. Corndog is the kind of horse I would trust absolutely anyone with. He is safe, seasoned, and dependable. Whether you want to trail ride through the Rocky Mountains, enjoy a dependable family horse, or step into either the Western or English show pen, Corndog is more than capable. He has a habit of exceeding expectations, and there are very few horses you can honestly say that about. On top of all of that, he is a beautiful individual. His eye-catching dun color, big round hip, kind eye, and balanced conformation only add to everything else he brings to the table. He is the complete package. Corndog is great for the veterinarian and farrier and sells 100% sound in every way. He is current on Coggins. I want Corndog to have an exceptional home because he truly deserves one. I am confident that whoever ends up with him will love him just as much as we have. We are located in North Bloomfield, Ohio. For more information, please call or text McKenzie at (330) 307-0323. I could write a book about this amazing gelding, so I encourage you to reach out with any questions. I would be more than happy to tell you more about my best bud, Corndog.
