Buzz Lightyear is an 11 year old registered Quarter Horse gelding standing 15 hands high. He has a solid resume on the ranch, in the arena, and as a 4h horse. Buzz can do a bit of everything, all while keeping his rider safe and happy! He's the perfect age; he's done and seen it all, and has plenty of life experience. Buzz has seen a days work on the ranch, doctored cattle, given riding lessons, and always enjoys a day at the cross country course. Whether you want to get out and try new things, or you just want a reliable partner to learn and grow with, Buzz would love his own person to take on the world with!
In the ring, Buzz is straightforward and simple. He has three comfortable and easy to sit gaits. He is a good mix of whoa and go; being steady, without being a dead head. If you ask him to go, he'll go. And if you ask him to slow it down, he's happy to poke along. Buzz will lope circles on a loose rein, or ride round in the bridle when asked. He picks up both leads easily, and is adjustable in all of his gaits. He is happy to trot around over cross rails or small logs with beginners, and has jumped around Novice fences and options with adults.
On the trails, Buzz is a master. He crosses all obstacles, swims, is safe in traffic and in town, and will happily trail ride off anywhere you take him. Buzz is very used to loading up and going new places. He is a perfect gentleman on the trailer and is easy to load and travel with. He is used to livestock, dogs, atv's, bikes, and more. He's a been there, done that, type of guy on the trails!
In the barn, Buzz is polite and respectful, with great ground manners. He is the type of horse that learns who his person is and really connects with them. He would love to have someone who enjoys not just riding, but bonding, with their horses. Buzz is an easy keeper who is happy living inside or out. He gets along well with his pasture mates and is overall just an easy guy to have around!
