Wiley is a 12 year old Quarter Horse gelding standing 14.3 hands tall. He is very calm and easy to handle on the ground with good manners. He stands quietly in cross ties, ties well, and is patient for bathing, grooming, and tacking. Wiley is uncomplicated to work around and has a steady, relaxed demeanor that makes him enjoyable to be around both in and out of the barn.
Under saddle, Wiley rides nicely in the arena and understands his job. He neck reins correctly, walks, trots, and lopes willingly, and maintains good circles at all gaits. He rides off leg and seat cues and is not heavy in the bridle. Wiley has a smooth, comfortable way of going and stays quiet and consistent, making him suitable for a variety of riders.
Outside of the arena, Wiley is a dependable trail horse. He rides confidently through tough and uneven terrain and is very sure footed. He has been ridden around dogs, goats, and farm equipment and handles new environments well without getting bothered. He is happy riding out alone or with other horses and remains level headed in different situations.
In the pasture, Wiley gets along well with other horses and fits comfortably in the middle of the pecking order. He is easy to manage in a group setting and does not cause issues. Wiley is up to date on his rabies vaccination, has a current negative Coggins, and completed a full equine health examination on 1/12/26. He is a solid, honest gelding that would make a reliable arena and trail partner for his next owner.
