If you’re looking for a family-safe, beginner-friendly all around horse, Bugs is your guy. He’s a beautiful red roan gelding, stands 15.1 hands and is 12 years old with tons of experience. You can trust this horse to take care of any rider. He’s extremely broke and knows how to differentiate riders’ abilities, molding himself to fit whoever’s on his back. For timid or young riders, he’s super careful and cautious. But with more advanced riders, he likes to show off. He’ll walk, trot, and lope with ease, so he’s great for beginners. He can also step it up and show advanced riders his ability to spin, slide, stop, and turn around. He’s truly versatile. Bugs will go anywhere you point him up any trail, over brush, through rivers where he will even swim and across rocky terrain. Bugs is safe to ride bareback, stand up on and crawl all over like a jungle gym. He’s been used on the ranch and knows the ropes. He can take a newbie out and take care of them or be a handy helper for a seasoned rancher. He’s done just about everything: carried flags, tarps, and balls. He’ll tackle any obstacle, bridges, pool noodles, walk over tires – he’s fearless. You can ride him down the highway without worries. He rides alone or in a group, hauls like a dream, ties, clips, and is excellent for the farrier. He tacks up easy and will be the same horse no matter how much time off he’s had. He’s definitely one of those horses you don’t find for often. We call him the jack of all trades because there’s nothing he can’t do.
