Duncan is an 13 year old stunning red Dunn ranch gelding that is safe for the whole family. No matter your age or horse experience you can ride and enjoy this amazing horse. He is a big stout made sturdy gelding that is 14.3 hands and weighs 1250 lbs. He has absolutely unmatched eye appeal that will get you noticed anywhere you go! Plenty of size, bone and foot to handle any rider and terrain! Duncan was raised on a big ranch in Montana and used daily. We bought him from an older gentleman that raised and trained him. He is a finished tried and true all around ranch horse. He’s spent his life doing a real job— roping and doctoring yearlings outside, branding calves, checking fence, and working in the feedlot. Duncan has the been there-done that mentality that makes every ride so enjoyable and stress-free. Whether you’re looking for a trustworthy partner for long days on the ranch or a gentle, seasoned horse the whole family can enjoy, this is him!! He has all the fancy buttons. Riding him is like driving a Porsche. He will pick up and go when asked but prefers a pleasant speed of a walk or his silky smooth slow jog. You can lope him off from a stand still with correct lead departure. He has slow correct spins. If you want you can turn him on like a reining horse. Soft side passes so can open and close gates on him and/or check your mail. He has controlled speed variations, will not get hyper or high strung. Duncan crosses logs, water, ditches, mud bogs, and steep banks with ease and confidence. Does not have a spooky, flighty nature, absolute no buck or bad habits, and the best part he has the most affectionate, willing-to-please attitude you will ever come across. We have never been around a horse who is so excited to see you every single day! He will always greet you at the gate and come up out of the pasture straight to his stall.
