BIG RED
The Kind of Horse You Dream About Owning
Some horses simply carry themselves differently—and Big Red is one of them. He is a gorgeous 13-year-old gelding standing approximately 15.2 hands, with the looks, presence, experience, and gentle disposition that make people stop and take notice.
My wife loves riding him on the ranch or out on the trails. He is classy, confident, and absolutely stunning under saddle—but his beauty is only the beginning. He is Grandpa’s pick of the herd.
Big Red is a true ranch horse who has spent countless hours doing an honest day’s work. He has gathered herds of over 400 cattle, sorted pairs, opened gates, checked fences, covered big country, and handled the everyday responsibilities of ranch life. He knows what a job is and approaches it with confidence and willingness.
He has also been used around the roping arena, including heading practice, hauling anyone and everybody around and turnback work. He is strong, experienced, and dependable, with the size and ability to handle whatever job is placed in front of him.
Out on the trail, Big Red is an absolute dream. He confidently travels through rough country, crosses water, handles hills and obstacles, and goes wherever he is asked. Whether you’re riding across the ranch, spending the day in the mountains, or simply enjoying a relaxing ride, he makes you feel safe and confident in the saddle.
Big Red is soft in the bridle, responsive to his rider, and comfortable to ride. He carries himself well on a loose rein and has the kind of smooth, classy way of traveling that makes every rider look and feel good.
Beyond his experience and ability, Big Red has a wonderful personality. He is enjoyable to be around, appreciates attention, and stands quietly for grooming, saddling, the farrier, bathing, and loading.
Big Red offers the rare combination of size, beauty, experience, ability, and dependability. He is the kind of horse who can put in a full day on the ranch, work in the arena, carry you through the mountains—and make you feel like you belong on the cover of a Western magazine while doing it.
Horses like Big Red—with his looks, experience, size, and honest nature—are incredibly difficult to find. He is ready to become someone’s trusted ranch partner, trail companion, and once-in-a-lifetime horse.
