Outstanding Foundation & Unlimited Potential. Savannah is a coming 3-year-old bay roan quarter horse mare with exceptional potential and a truly remarkable foundation. She is ready to head in any direction you choose from the show pen to the mountains and everything in between. Bred with the mind to work and the temperament to partner, she’s been a joy in every stage of her development and is now ready for her next chapter. From day one, Savannah has been a pleasure to work with. She has never bucked, bolted, or reared and continues to show a calm, cooperative, and eager-to-learn attitude. She’s sweet-natured and intelligent, making her a horse that’s not only easy to train but enjoyable to be around. She truly thrives when given a job and has consistently demonstrated the kind of level-headed temperament that sets her apart. She’s been given a solid foundation in groundwork. Savannah side passes toward and away from pressure, spins, backs easily, and lunges both free and on a line. She’s also beginning liberty work, showing attentiveness and connection. She handles a wide range of obstacles with curiosity and confidence, including tarps, flags, and large balls. Her trust in people and her grounded mindset make her highly adaptable in new situations. Under saddle, Savannah has been started in the western pleasure world and is coming along beautifully. She knows how to drop her head, collect naturally, and carry herself softly. Her jog is smooth and consistent, and she’s currently working on slowing and balancing her lope. She’s light in the mouth, responsive off voice and seat cues, and is beginning lateral work such as side passing and crossing over. She’s also had a handful of English rides and shows great potential in that direction as well. She moves out nicely, has a naturally balanced gait, and has been over cavalettis with good awareness and rhythm. With further development, she would make an elegant and athletic hunter or all-around English prospect. Trail riding is truly where Savannah shines. She is confident and relaxed both alone and in a group. She crosses water and bridges, navigates tricky terrain, and takes everything in stride. Bikes, strollers, dogs, wildlife. Nothing phases her. She leads with confidence but will settle in anywhere in the group. With her surefootedness and good sense of direction, she would also excel as a pack or hunting horse. Her ability to stay calm and think through new environments is exceptional, especially for her age. Despite her youth, Savannah has proven safe and trustworthy around riders of all ages. Children as young as ten have handled and ridden her, and she’s stepped into the role of babysitter without hesitation. She’s reliable, honest, and takes care of her rider, which speaks volumes about her character and training. Savannah is the total package! Versatile, trainable, and ready to become someone’s heart horse. Whether you’re looking for a show prospect, a dependable trail mount, or a quiet, thoughtful partner to bring along, she has all the right pieces in place. She’s a mare with endless potential and a personality to match. Please reach out if you have any questions or would like to set up a time to meet her. She’s a special one and ready to make someone very happy.
