Truly the huckleberry of horses at our barn — Huck is a personality plus, fancy 4 year old AQHA gelding with the athleticism and brains to go any direction you desire! Huck is everyone’s favorite, including my three year old sister who has claimed him as hers from the beginning. It’s no wonder, since he is wise beyond his years and as friendly and gentle as they come! If looks could kill, Huck would drop you dead with his long, thick mane and tail and unique blue eye. Huck is just shy of 15 hands, making him the perfect size to do anything! We have started roping slow steers – both heading and heeling. Huck is ready for anything you want to do, as he is BROKE, with an easy neck rein, phenomenal stop and nice turn around. Huck has been ridden at many a branding, sorted pairs, been used at the local sale barn, and flagged team ropings. The bright lights of town don’t phase Huck, as he has been hauled and exposed to all the commotion. All this plus many miles down the trails leading a string over water, bridges, and deadfall. Huck does it all, and has papers to boot! He is a great-grandson of Spooks Gotta Gun on the top side and a great-grandson of Shining Spark on the bottom. This type of gelding does not come in bunches. You don’t catch him, he catches you at the gate! With his sweet, in your pocket, puppy dog nature, Huck is a blast to be around and we know you will love him too!
