Joey is a STANDOUT 15 hand gelding with plenty of foot, bone and shape to last a lifetime. He is gentle, quiet and SAFE for the whole family to enjoy no matter if you want to trail ride him or use him on the ranch etc. Joey has all the fancy buttons including a nice turn around, great stop, side passes and much more all while staying soft and collected! In the arena his trot/extended trot is unbeatable as well as his smooth lope moving with cadence and a lot of presence! We think Joey will excel in any discipline but especially in the Ranch Horse Versatility Shows. He takes both leads and moves off leg pressure very softly. Joey is the "more whoa than go" kind but also has plenty of talent and athletic ability when he is asked. He has been lightly started on the head side of the roping sled as well as been pen roped on with live cattle and he is truly a natural showing tons of potential to make a high end head horse. Trail riding is no problem for Joey either if you are just looking for something safe and dependable to enjoy outside the arena he is your guy. Joey cross logs, ditches, tires, creeks (even Mississippi River) and anything you ask him with ease and no hassle. He has been ridden in town and along the road making him good with traffic and all farm machinery. Joey has been ridden by all different skill levels of riders and is super user friendly, forgiving and easy to get along with! Horses like Joey himself don't come around just everyday being completely hassle free and great to have around the barn! Joey is easy to catch being the first one to meet you at the gate and always wanting attention and to be apart of the fun. He loads and unloads on the trailer easily, stands to be bathed, clipped and groomed, as well as great for the farrier and veterinary!
