Pretzel is the kind of young gelding everyone is looking for sane, broke, versatile, and absolutely pleasant to be around. At just 5 years old, he already shows the maturity, willingness, and quiet mind of a much older horse. Standing 14.3 hands, he is a compact, sporty, well made gelding with great bone, a kind expression, and a sweet, people oriented disposition.
With a foundation started in reining, Pretzel rides around beautifully in the arena. He is soft in the face, correct in his neck rein, and very responsive to leg and seat. He carries a headset at the trot, steps into both leads smoothly, and offers a comfortable, balanced lope. His stop is big and correct, and he willingly performs all his maneuvers without resistance. He is the same horse every ride quiet, consistent, and easy to operate whether you are tuning him up or just cruising around on a loose rein.
Pretzel is also very confident with all kinds of obstacles and tasks. He will carry the American flag without hesitation, you can rope off him, drag objects, and handle tarps, slickers, and noisy equipment all around his body. He takes everything you throw at him with ease. Making him a great candidate for ranch riding, versatility, mounted patrol, obstacle events, or simply a reliable all around partner.
On the trail, he is just as solid. Pretzel walks out calmly and willingly, staying relaxed and focused no matter where he goes. Brush, water, mud, wildlife, traffic, dogs, nothing bothers him. He goes through water and thick brush without hesitation and is happy to lead, follow, or ride out alone. His steady and unflappable temperament makes him a joy for riders who want to feel safe and confident whether on the trail or exploring new environments.
On the ground, Pretzel is a complete gentleman. He stands perfectly to be saddled, bathed, blanketed, trimmed, and brushed, and he genuinely enjoys attention. He is comfortable whether he is stalled or living outside, and adjusts easily to any routine.
