Maxwell marks high on the charts in our opinion. One of our favorite horses in the barn and without a doubt the most personable! Maxwell is one of our go to ranch geldings. He is great to use in every aspect of ranch work and is always dependable, but his list of abilities extends much further! Maxwell is well started on the head side in the roping pen on live cattle as well as patterned on the barrels and poles. He is an outstanding trail mount as well! No issues riding out alone or with a group and will ride through any kind of terrain or obstacle he is pointed at. Maxwell has had cattle roped on him on the outside in the pasture as well as in the arena. We’ve caught cattle on him and loaded them, doctored cattle, sorted in the pens and so so much more on the ranch. Maxwell is extremely broke and had a great work ethic, no matter the job. Don’t need a horse to go to work on or rope on? No worries, Maxwell is content to ride down the trail and navigate new places. He is quiet and good minded, not spooky in the slightest. He also enjoys learning new things and has come along quickly being patterned on the barrels and the poles. He has speed when asked for it, but is by no means a chargy or forward horse. No matter the discipline you’re looking to ride in, Maxwell is sure to please. He is versatile, good minded, willing and always gentle. Our whole family rides Maxwell including our 6 year old daughter. He is careful with her and we have had no concerns about turning her loose on him. Maxwell is an easy keeper, easy to catch in the pasture, ties and trailers great and is overall a well mannered gelding that is a pleasure to be around.
