If you can appreciate a gelding that is tall, dark, and handsome then you will have hit the jackpot if you end up Captain Buck Willy. There is not a whole lot not to like about Shooter, he sports a lot of substance, ride ability, and easy going disposition. He is that stunning sooty buckskin color throughout, the kind everyone stops and stares at. Shooter has plenty of bone, strong feet, big hip, strong shoulder, and the prettiest head to top it off. He is ranch bred through and through, making it easy to see where he gets his looks. He is built to last. Shooter is calm and confident on the trails. He can cover some rough terrain like no one’s business, always staying solid. He goes through shallow creeks or vast rivers with no issues. Shooter is confident traveling down steep and rocky hillsides and will briskly go up one as well. He has been ridden down gravel roads with passing traffic and crossing low water bridges, never wavering. Shooter goes across all of the obstacles we have put in his way and will carry the American Flag, he sure looks good doing it too! He has been used in the pens working cattle all day. Shooter has a nice handle, good ground manners, and a joy to ride. We think he would make a great ranch versatility or rope horse, but if that isn’t your thing he is content toting his next partner down the trails.
