MEET BOON! A lovely copper gelding at a very handy size of 14.3 hands with a very sweet temperament and great barn manners. The kids just absolutely adore him and have the ability to bridle and ride him on their own with no assistance. We have had him for the past two years and don’t regret it! Boon is a very talented and fun horse to ride, either in the arena or out on the trails. He’ll ride out on the trails solo or with a large group of horses, moves thru gates with ease, crosses logs and climbs steep trails effortlessly, loves water and splashing! In the arena he’s very athletic and versatile, sidepasses, picks up both leads at a trot or canter, offering smooth balanced transitions as well as flying lead changes at a canter. Boon is soft in the bridle and to leg yields, neck reins excellent so that means engaging in riding freestyle without a bridle is nothing new to him! He has been started on jumps the last several months and has proven a great jumper! Stands patiently to mount, clipping, for the farrier and of course for baths, which he loves on hot days! Stands ground-tied, is fine to load and quiet in the trailer. He’s a little bit more timid natured but is definitely used to lots of noise and commotion, with having kids around the whole time, a dog that’s constantly escorting us on trail rides, tarps flying around, etc. so it really doesn't create any issue.
