The horse with a heart of gold. The horse with the kindest presence. The horse that is the most beautiful color. The horse every kid dreams of. “Rico” is THAT horse. This exquisite gelding stands 14.3 hh and is the most stunning gray color with a great mane and beautiful long tail.
This is the guy that will always be happier to see you over his other four-legged friends. Rico craves attention, but is never overly in your face. He will gladly take all the carrots and hang out with you all day. This guy has the most adorable face with the kindest eye. Rico is GENTLE GENTLE. We have never had a horse as quiet as him. Rico does not spook at anything. Tarps, banners, crazy dogs, farm machinery, random objects, and quite literally anything else you can think of will not scare this guy. He has been exposed to every thing one can think of.
Rico will trail ride all day and go any where you ask. From a swim in the pond to crossing a creek, water is definitely no problem. Whether you want to ride alone, in a group, at the back of the line or the front, Rico will be easy going. If you need to make a pit stop out on your ride while the others keep on riding, he will patiently stand there with you. A lot of horses get anxious when the other horses they are with leave them, but Rico absolutely will not. He is so quiet!
So he is bombproof and trail rides great... Let’s not forget how fancy he rides in the arena. Rico rides soft and in the bridle with a level head-set. This boy is SO pretty when trotting across the arena. Rico is very smooth at all gaits. He looks great in his turnaround and has a cute stop. Rico neck reins correctly on a loose rein and will always aim to please.
Rico has extensive experience sorting and moving cattle as well. If you need to gather up your reins and get him to really get around he will be ready. Then when it’s time to idle down, he is always honest. Rico will ride bridle-less in the arena, sorting cattle, or trail riding. This horse will genuinely never try to do anything wrong. They do not get any more honest. We do not consider many to be kids’ horses, but we absolutely trust this guy.
