TL Mecoms Hickory aka “Roscoe” is a 6-year-old bay roan gelding that is the kind the whole family can enjoy. He has a gentle, willing disposition and is safe enough for kids to ride both inside and outside of the arena. He’s the type of horse you can feel confident putting just about anyone on.
Outside, Roscoe is as solid as they come. He’s been ridden extensively on the trails and is comfortable traveling through brush, crossing logs, and handling rough terrain without hesitation. He has also spent time in big, rough Montana country gathering and working cattle, proving he’s a dependable horse when there’s a job to do.
As a 3-year-old, Roscoe was ridden in a sale barn and feedlot environment where he worked the back pens, giving him plenty of real-world experience around cattle and busy environments. He’s seen a lot and handles new situations with a level head.
In the arena, Roscoe has been started in both the heeling and breakaway and is progressing nicely. He is ready for someone to continue hauling him and take him to jackpots in the heeling. With his experience and attitude, he has the foundation to go in several different directions depending on what you want to do with him.
Roscoe is easy to be around and simple to handle. He stands quietly to wash, brush, shoe, saddle, and load in the trailer. He has been hauled to a lot of different places and travels well.
