“R U SHINEY” Aka “Turnip” is a well-made and good-minded beautiful bay gelding that’s ready to go in any direction you want to take him.
AQHA Registered, standing 15hh and the perfect age of 6 years old.
Turnip is a cool fella, and we think you will love him. He’s had a good variety of things done on him, from riding ranches in FL before our family moved to TN, to helping at Little Britches rodeos pushing cattle and helping to settle kids’ horses in the arena. He’s seen outside work, plenty of trail miles and he is ready to go be someone’s number one.
He is in your pocket, wants to be your best friend. He has excellent ground manners and behaves himself like a gentleman. We’ve thrown a lot at this gelding, and he takes it all in stride. He’s even been ridden English and he looks quite cute! Popped right over a couple thrown together jumps as well, I think he would be able to go that direction pretty easily also.
Turnip is started well in breakaway, he has plenty of try, he will go right to their hip and naturally wants to track a calf. He’s steer stopped as well.
He is also cruising a nice set of barrels, and ready to go on with and finish out your way. He is going to be super fun and pretty natural.
He has plenty of athletic ability, however one of my favorite things about him, is his chill and quiet attitude.
Out on the trails, he’s sure-footed, confident, and easy to get along with. He’ll cross water, go up and down hills, and ride out alone or in a group with no fuss. He’s the kind you can enjoy the ride on, whether you’re checking cattle or just covering country.
He’s also been used to start colts and handle a variety of jobs around the place. This gelding is broke, gentle, and versatile, with the ability to make a competitive rope horse, a solid ranch mount, a talented barrel horse or just enjoy him as a dependable trail partner.
