“Rico” is a stunning 6 year old gelding standing at 15 hands tall. Rico has a very sweet personality and is very well minded beyond his years. Rico has a “been there done that” attitude, he trail rides the best, works cattle, loves to jump and will even pack the kids around bareback in the yard! He is truly a well-rounded, safe, versatile gelding!
In the arena, Rico has a smooth and floaty walk, trot, canter. He picks up both leads, has a good stop, back up and neck reins! He collects in the bridle and has a soft snaffle mouth! Rico is honest and brave over fences and would make an exceptional hunter/jumper, fox hunter, cross country or eventing horse as well as being the perfect addition to a lesson program!
On the trails, Rico is safe, surefooted and dependable! He has the stamina to do the long weekend trail rides or is just as happy to do a short evening sunset hack around the farm! He rides out alone or in a group, crosses water, bridges, up and down steep inclines and is traffic safe! Rico takes care of his rider and is a true confidence builder!
At home, Rico is a good boy for all the normal barn tasks. He is excellent for the vet, farrier and dentist. He stands tied anywhere, he’s good to bathe, clip, groom, tack, load and unload. He’s happy in a stall or can be turned out in a mixed herd and gets along with everyone! Rico is very simple, easy and zero drama!
