TEE JS TUFF ONYX
Meet Tuff- a stop you in your tracks, drop-dead gorgeous iron grey gelding, with the sweetest soul you could want. With such beautiful confirmation, lovely headset, and the kindest eye you can see from the moment you meet him comes with an even better attitude- he is always so willing with whatever you ask of him and is always up for learning new things, even if it may be challenging. He is definitely an in-your-pocket type gelding, he loves attention and soaks it all in. He wants to be your friend and please you all in one. Standing 15.1 hands tall and 5 years old, Tuff sure has seen a lot at a young age. He has great manners- easy to catch, bathe, saddle, ties quietly, and loads in and out of the trailer great. He does good turned out or stalled- he does tend to appreciate the head scratches that comes with being stalled from time to time!
Aside from his wonderful temperament, he is an excellent trail/ranch horse. He is safe and steady on various terrains and navigates through it all like a pro- deep water, fallen down timber, slippery and rocky ground, etc. He is strong, stout and very capable of carrying any rider with ease. Tuff also handles well to noisy traffic or loud machinery. He even handles mini donkeys/ ponies out in the pasture squealing and trying to chase you, with such kindness! Lol. He has also done some ranch work where we have personally used him to check cows and to push cattle around with. We have used him lightly to rope some calves out in the pasture on as well.
I personally feel Tuff would excel great into several different disciplines if you choose to take him in that direction, and is at that perfect age to still learn new things! He is responsive, moves off leg pressure, and has nice, comfortable gaits. You can ride him on a beautiful loose rein or by making more contact you can ride him more direct- whatever you choose.
With that being said, Tuff is an excellent, brilliant minded, and kindhearted gelding that anyone would be proud to own. He truly is a pleasure that we are proud to offer.
Tuff is 100% sound and has a very recent PPE (1-6-2026) and passed with flying colors. If you have any more questions on Tuff, don’t hesitate to reach out at anytime!
