Asa is a stout built draftcross gelding standing around 15.2hh, he will weigh 1300lbs, he is 7 years old, and he has that striking blonde mane and tail on top of a bright red coat! He is one cool looking guy! Not only does he look cool he rides cool as well. Asa has been in our program since last year and he also knows some tricks, he will bow, lay down and set on his rump. He loves to set!!! He has been ridden down the highways and he is traffic safe. He has been ridden out on the ranch, rounded up cattle, roped/doctored calves and is strong to the horn. Asa is great on trails and he will cross creeks, ditches, logs and navigate rough rocky areas. He has a smooth jog, a nice easy to set lope, a good stop, turns a circle both ways and backs with ease! He has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife such as deer or turkey or other animals like cows or dogs and will go anywhere that he is asked too. He has been rode many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and over all types of rough terrain while still being sure footed.
