This stunning 9-year-old champagne Quarter Horse gelding is as rare in color as he is in temperament. He’s the kind of horse you can trust with the kids and grandkids, yet he’s big and broke enough for adults to enjoy as well. Echo is the one you’ll be proud to own — the one that always gets noticed and makes you feel safe every time you swing a leg over. Echo has been my go-to horse when inexperienced riders needed something trustworthy. He has been on an equestrian drill team, carried a flag, and hauled to rodeos, so he’s comfortable in busy, loud environments. He’s been trail riding with hundreds of other horses, crossed creeks and logs, played in the water, and even spent nights out camping. He recently completed a challenging mountain trail obstacle course and handled every single obstacle with ease and confidence. He’s responsive, and fun to ride. Echo neck reins, moves off leg cues, and has smooth, easy gaits that make him a pleasure for riders of all levels. He can even be ridden bridleless and goes just as nicely in a simple halter as he does in a bridle. He stands patiently to bathe, tack, clip, and shoe, and he’s easy to catch and gets along well with other horses. Whether he’s barefoot or shod, he stays 100% sound and ready for his next adventure. Echo is as versatile as they come. He’s been used to sort and pen cattle, round up rodeo bulls, and has been around the barrels and poles and started on jumps. Nothing much fazes him, and he takes care of his rider every step of the way. He’s the rare kind of horse that can safely carry your kids on a quiet trail ride in the morning, then step up and work cattle in the afternoon. He is great to have around the barn and gets along well with any horses in the pasture. He is easy to catch and will meet you at the gate. If I go out to the pasture to bring horses in he is the first one to come up. I hop on him bareback with a halter and use him to bring the rest of the horses in. He has been used to pony other horses. He has been used at the fairgrounds through fair week to direct traffic and was not fazed by all the traffic, loud music, and rides all around him. If he is kept in a stall you might hear him crib every now and then but nothing bad. Horses like Echo don’t come along often. Between his rare champagne color, his kind and willing disposition, and his proven experience in so many settings, he truly is one of a kind. If you’ve been looking for that special partner who can do it all — from the trails, to the arena, to family fun — Echo is the one you’ve been waiting for.
