Looking for your next trail or ranch partner? Here is Traveler, a 9 year old 14.2 hand heavy boned quarter horse. He has been trail ridden across the United States from Colorado to Ohio and will be happy to take his new person on any trial they might want! He is also no stranger to a ranch, he comes off a ranch in South Dakota and we have used him in Colorado, so he knows all ranch aspects. He would make an awesome novice sorting horse as he knows cows and handles easily. He was used by kids for goat tying in gymkhanas and is great for play days. He has a lovely walk trot lope both in and out of the arena, will walk all day long but is happy to trot or lope on trail if one chooses. He handles very nicely with neck reining, big stops, role backs and all the maneuvers we use on the ranch every day. Traveler is overall an easy-going barn favorite! He is not barn sour at all and actually seems to enjoy the company of people instead of horses which is a very nice and unique quality. The kids love to brush him and hang on his neck. He stays gentle with time off, is always the same horse, and is great with kids both on the ground and in the saddle. He crosses water with no hassle and is safe with dogs and four wheelers. He loads and unloads as one should, is easy for the vet and farrier and is easy to catch. He is currently barefoot and has big, hard feet and is barefoot for the whole video.
