Josie is a 9 year old grade Quarter Horse mare. Standing a solid 15.1 hands tall. She has a very upstanding personality and loves everyone. Josie will meet you at the gate and follow you wherever you want to go. Josie has been ridden by a 15 year old girl and she has done absolutely wonderful. She has no spook or bolt. Josie will stand tied all day to a tie rack or overnight to a tie line. She has been on the trails, open fields, down main highways, and rode through town with no issues. In her pervious years she was a patrol horse for the Sturgis Bike Rally. Josie will go through water, cross logs, go up and down the steepest hills, and stand to be bathed. She will take you through the toughest terrian and she enjoys every minute of it. She is very sure footed and watches where she goes to make sure her rider stays safe! Josie rides bareback with just a halter and lead rope. She will trail ride alone or with a group. She is comfortable and confident leading a group of horses, being in the middle or being in the back of the pack. She always loads and unloads with ease. Josie has been in with cattle, around all sorts of livestock, and is use to dogs. Nothing bothers her! Shes safe for everyone. Josie had been extensively trail ridden for the past few years and loves every minute of it. She picks up the correct lead everytime and has a nice controlled lope. This lady could go any direction her rider would want to take her. She always rides off confident and is always easy to handle. You can let Josie sit for months and she is always the same.
