"This stunning dapple grey, 14.3-hand registered QH mare is the complete package—beautifully built, great-minded, and backed by real ranch experience. At just 5 years old, Rouge carries herself with the maturity and reliability of a seasoned veteran. She’s shapey, balanced, and made to work all day with a willing, honest attitude.

Rouge has been used extensively on a working ranch and in the feedlot, giving her a true foundation—checking pairs, sorting, shipping, doctoring, dragging calves, and gathering rough country. She’s seen big, tough terrain including Palo Duro Canyon and the rough country of New Mexico, always staying sure-footed and confident. She has also been hauled to ranch gatherings and brandings and has packed novice riders in real working situations without issue. She has no vices and carries excellent ground manners, making her easy and enjoyable to have in the barn.

Extremely Cowy & an Outstanding Sorting Horse
Rouge is naturally cowy—quick, gritty, and sharp about reading one. She has excellent rate, stays true in front of a cow, and refuses to let anything slip past her. With her responsiveness, deep stop, and good face, she shines in both ranch sorting and team sorting. She’s the kind you can haul overnight and be competitive on immediately.

Finished Head Horse — Ready to Haul & Win
Rouge is a solid, finished head horse that scores well, leaves flat, runs to the hip, and handles cattle clean and correct every trip. She’s consistent, user-friendly, and has all the tools to go win. Whether jackpotting, entering ranch rodeos, or hauling to local ropings, she is ready to go to work today.

Gentle, Dependable, & User-Friendly
Rouge is straightforward and uncomplicated. She hauls with mares or geldings, stands tied quietly, never acts mare-ish, and stays gentle even with time off. She crosses water, handles rough terrain, and is traffic and machinery safe—feed trucks, loaders, tractors, four-wheelers, etc. Nothing rattles her, and she shows zero spook or silliness.

If you’re looking for a versatile ranch horse, a competitive sorting horse, and a finished head horse ready to haul and win, Rouge checks every box. She is genuinely a nice mare—honest, broke, safe, and extremely capable."
