SCQH Irish Cash, affectionately known as Honey, is a stunning 6-year-old palomino mare with beauty and heart to match. She didn’t earn her name from her golden color alone — Honey is truly one of the sweetest horses I’ve ever owned.
This mare has a dog-like personality and absolutely loves people. She’ll meet you at the gate and patiently wait to be brought in. When it’s time to halter or bridle, she lowers her head willingly, always eager to please. Honey genuinely wants to be your partner and your friend.
Honey spent 90 days with a professional trainer as a 2-year-old, and since then she has been my main mount. She’s been used to track calves, has done some team penning, and has enjoyed plenty of trail riding. Nothing seems to bother her — she’s steady, willing, and confident. With her kind temperament and athletic ability, I believe she has the potential to excel in any discipline.
Honey is sound and requires no special maintenance. She does crib slightly, but it is minimal and often goes unnoticed.
