"Vera," as we affectionately call this sweet girl, is one of the most honest trail horses I have had. At eight-years-old she is a veteran on the trails. Vera has experienced the beautiful black hills of South Dakota. On these trails, she experienced rocky trails, cautious of every step. She powers up the big hills and takes her time going back down. Vera has no hesitation when it comes to crossing or entering water. Whether you are crossing a small creek or entering a large body of water, she will be willing. This mare can literally stand ALL day long by herself while the other horses leave her. She is not buddy sour whatsoever and can be ridden alone. When in a group, she gets along with others and is content whether she is in the front, middle, or rear. Vera is traffic safe and has even had a gun shot off of her! If you are looking for the real-deal gentle horse, look no further. Nothing rattles this mare!! Vera has been used in all aspects of ranch work.
