The father of Oelala, the stallion Vigo d'Arsouilles, is the World Champion in show jumping under the Belgian rider Philippe le Jeune. This success first ensured him a wide usage in breeding and subsequently an undeniable position in the world rankings of show jumping sires.

Oelala comes from the female line of the mare Ifrane AA, which once produced the World Championship medalist gelding Morgat AA, and later the phenomenal mare Fragance de Chalus, who was herself a very good jumper and, in her long breeding career, produced outstanding stallions Bamako de Muze and Mylord Carthago, along with a whole array of excellent sport horses. Oelala is inbred three times to the outstanding French sire Jalisco B sf.

She is currently competing in classes N and C, consistently achieving top placements.
