Handsome Connemara with a riding handicap

Loving and handsome Connemara rascal with a handicap seeking a new purpose and caring humans. This 10-year-old gelding is no longer suitable for sport due to a bone membrane inflammation in the hock joint but has been walking steadily with a herd of geldings for the past 2.5 years and is lightly worked. He tends to stand slightly shorter on the affected leg and is still working on it; left canter in collection is challenging for him, but he moves normally in free movement. He would make a good companion animal for a riding horse or PSSM-affected horse (very easy keeper and overweight here in summer). He feels comfortable in a group, always closely following older, confident geldings. Originally trained in dressage up to A-level, longed at L-level, and has some jumping experience. Not yet a reliable beginner, children's, or therapy horse—may be spooky or nervous in cold weather and is very opinionated, typical of the Connemara breed. Very intelligent, loves mental work and circus tricks, has soft, pleasant gaits. He has not been extensively ridden but is steady on his feet and enjoys turnout with other horses. Apart from the injury, he is in good health and experienced in all aspects of riding. An older X-ray is available from when the injury occurred. Priority goes to suitability over price.
