Sternberg’s Golden Empire, aka Goose, is a 5yo 15.1h purebred overgrown dun Connemara gelding with experience and style, and a willing, friendly personality to match
Goose has experience competing in working hunters, eventing, dressage, showing in hand, and SJI competitions
He is very outgoing and loveable, he enjoys attention, going new places, and has excellent ground manners
Goose was well loved and well produced by his previous owner, who had him since he was two
He has also been at pony club events and hunted
Goose hacks quietly alone or in company
We think he is an exceptional horse, with a willing attitude for nearly every discipline. He is very quiet to ride, not ever spooky, bold, or nervous- a real confidence boost for a nervous rider
He is brave and very honest to jump. Our rider jumped him to 1.10m, and he has competed in 90cm classes with ease
He is a true ladies’ horse; he is soft to the aids but not sensitive or sharp, stays under the leg without being strong or forward. Very polite and easy to ride, and totally in-your-pocket on the ground
Goose is quiet in traffic, around cows and machinery
He is excellent to shoe, tie, plait, catch, bathe, and handle in every way
