Porkchop macht beim Reiten wirklich viel Spaß.

Porkchop is a well-built, handsome, blue roan curly gelding. He’s 7 years old and stands at 15.1 hands. If you aren’t familiar with Curly horses, they are known for being kind, easygoing, and hypoallergenic for most people. Porkchop is extremely rare, being a blue roan and a curly.

Porkchop is a true pleasure to have in our barn and care. He is gentle, quiet, friendly, and in your pocket, with such a cool, fun-loving personality.
His ground manners are amazing, and he makes working around him easy. Catching, tying, leading, grooming, picking feet, fly spraying, saddling, etc. he stands perfectly and quietly.
His manners extend to riding, too. He stands like a gentleman for mounting and dismounting and stands like a statue for our 3yo to crawl all over.
He is not a spooky horse and is so reasonable when shown new things. He is a very unbothered type of horse, and I have yet to have him spook, even at extremely scary flappy items. He is no stranger to bikes, heavy traffic, loud dogs, flags, wind, etc.
Porkchop rides very well in an arena, open pasture, and on the trail. We have taken him across the country with our show horse string. He has been to many states with us, including California, New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas. He has ridden through downtown Fort Worth, the stockyards, through multiple national parks, and through lots of busy crowds. Our beginner, non-horsey sons mostly ride him when they need to tag along on a trail with us. He packed them safely through extremely difficult terrain without a bad step.
Porkchop is really fun to ride; he’s on the slower side, with a nice lofty trot and a rocking-horse lope. He’ll go in both an English and Western saddle, bareback, bridleless (he is easily controlled with just a neck rope), and you can even ride him bitless. He has a great stop and is easy to control. He’s knowledgeable enough to appreciate a more advanced rider, but quiet and seasoned enough to forgive a beginner’s mistakes.
The kids in our lesson program have ridden him, my husband has ridden him, and my 3-year-old has piloted him completely unassisted.

He is up to date on his vaccines, wormer, Coggins, and just had his teeth floated. Porkchop is completely sound with no lameness or health concerns. He does have an old scar on his left front foot that doesn’t affect him in the slightest. He has never been lame, and it will not affect him in the future. The hair is just gone where the scar is. He requires no maintenance or special care. He is an easy keeper and not on any supplements or grain. He is currently turned out in a group paddock with my gelding herd and is in the middle of the totem pole.

We have grown super attached to him and love his amazing, funny personality. I’m heartbroken to have to sell him because we’ve grown so attached to having him here, but the client he was purchased for had a serious health scare and couldn’t purchase him, and I can’t keep more horses right now with our barn situation.
We want to ensure he gets the absolute best home with the best care, and we can’t wait to see him make someone as happy as he’s made us.

È abituato a biciclette, traffico intenso, cani rumorosi, bandiere, vento e molto altro.

Porkchop va molto bene in campo, in spazi aperti e sui sentieri.

Porkchop to mocno zbudowany, przystojny, kędzierzawy wałach o umaszczeniu niebieskiego deresza.

Porkchop to prawdziwa przyjemność w naszej stajni i w codziennej opiece.

Jest wystarczająco doświadczony, by docenić bardziej zaawansowanego jeźdźca, a jednocześnie na tyle spokojny i doświadczony, by wybaczać błędy początkującego.
