If you’re looking for a young crossbred with great mind, foundation and eye appeal this is your guy! Reid is a 3 year old Belgian x QH cross that stands 15.1 hands tall with room to grow, he is a gorgeous copper color complimented with some chrome and a little flaxen hair flare. Reid is so gentle and easy going we love how honest and quiet minded this boy is! Reid stands in the ties nicely to be groomed and saddled, he handles his feet well and is also very good for the vet/farrier. He is patient to be bathed in the wash rack and easy to load into any style trailer- he hauls quiet and off loads with ease and requires no prep to ride in new places. Reid is good in a stall and also out in the field with a mixed herd. Under saddle he goes nicely English or western and is a straight forward kind of ride- he’s soft in face, has an excellent stop and backs up nicely too. He rides walk trot and canter and easily takes both leads. Reid has been very lightly started over low cross rails and would make a great English prospect!!! He is easy to move up and down through his transitions and has nice movement too. Out on trail Reid is brave and confident in where he goes, he rides off like a horse double his age. He will go out alone or in a group and is good with horses riding up along side of him or behind him. Reid will cross deadfall, mud and water alike as well as through thick brush and unkept trail or up and down steep mountains and grades. He’s been in deep water, and down the road in the moonlight and has a great demeanor to be the epitome of a trail boss. Reid is sound without vices or limitations.
