YOU DON'T FIND THEM THIS PRETTY and THIS WELL BROKE so you NEED TO LOOK at this horse before skimming down the list. Folks dream of riding a big blue roan horse with heavy feathered feet and this is your chance! Nevada has a beautiful blue roan coat with a dark head and dark extremities. He has heavy feathering on all four feet and one white leg which adds to making him so flashy. Better yet, he is young and extremely experienced (he logged over 450 mountain miles in very rough terrain in his first year under saddle) and he has entire life ahead of him. You won't find one this young with this many miles of REAL world using experience.
He has a nice neck rein, moves off leg pressure, travels out really well, he has been on the most extreme mountain trails, crosses logs, boulders, bogs, rivers, frozen rivers, deep raging rivers, or rivers with ice flowing in them. He has been used on a full time working ranch his entire life. He will rope, brand, trail cows, quietly ride off alone, and go all day. He is ridden frequently and does great with kids. He is the horse that we put an experienced rider on to get a serious job done, or he can take care of a friend who has no experience with horses. He is the horse for any job. He is calm rather one person is riding to get a job done, or several kids playing around and are riding him backwards. He serves well as a pack horse as he packs gear, horns, meat, or anything else we may need. Nevada gets along with other horses, has no bite or kick. Has no bad habits, is great with dogs, and gets along with the ferrier. Nevada was bred, raised, trained, and been here at the same ranch his entire life. HE IS NOT A TRADER HORSE! Our horses are raised on our ranch in Wyoming 60 miles from Yellowstone. My wife and four children ranch here full time and we spend countless days in the mountains all throughout the Rockies. We added Half drafts to our registered quarter horse breeding program nearly 10 years ago. We were never happy with the typical half draft as they were too wide for comfort on long day rides. They were blocky and oftentimes very rough riding. They are too heavy and are not very athletic. To remedy these issues we looked all over the country to find the perfect sire for our Half draft breeding program. Our registered Shire stud throws colts that answer all the undesirable traits of the typical half draft. You get a very narrow ride that is comfortable all day long,they have long and big boned legs that travel well and very smooth, they have incredible dispositions, and are athletic. We breed, raise, train, and ride our horses so we know what they are and what they are capable of. Even our studs go to work under saddle to prove themselves worthy of raising colts.
