Indigo
7 yo Blue Roan and White Spotted Draft x Shire gelding. Indigo stands at 16.3 with a stocky build. He is sound with no known injuries or maintenance. Indigo is up to date on everything and turned out in a mixed herd. He doesn’t crib, bite, kick, or weave.
In the barn, Indigo is exceptionally well mannered. He is never pushy and always does what is asked of him. He is easy to turn out and catch, loads/hauls like a pro, and is a perfect gentleman for the vet/farrier. Anyone can handle him on the ground. Indigo will stand in the crossties to be groomed like a rock. He clips, tacks, and picks up his feet easily.
In the arena, Indigo will ride both english and western but is also a big couch to ride bareback. He has a balanced walk trot canter and will pick up both leads easily. Indigo is soft in the bridle and has collected transitions. He will stand quietly at the mounting block or from the ground to be mounted. He is surprisingly athletic over fences and has been jumped up to 2’6” with room for more. He has also been out schooling cross country fences.
On the trails, Indigo is a reliable mount. He will ride out alone or in a group and is happy to lead or follow. He is the same horse both on and off property. Indigo loves the water and will swim all day in the lake. He can easily navigate downed trees, ditches, cliff-sides, and more. He is traffic safe and experienced with dogs.
We can see Indigo making a killer dressage prospect or foxhunting in any flight. He is husband friendly and loves having a job. He wants to connect and is looking for his new best friend. He is easily one of the favorites on the farm here with his stunning looks and gentle giant personality.
