If you’re looking for that last forever horse that you can have some fun with doing a variety of things than Sedona is your girl. She is a perfect age at six years old; young enough to still go out and do things and have several good years ahead of her but old enough to have the miles under her cinch.

Sedona is a horse that I fully trust down the trails or out on the roads. She’s not easily phased. She’ll go anywhere and blaze a new trail for you. She has been the go-to horse to teach young horses how to drive by hitching them double with her. She’s also been the go-to horse to pony a new young string of horses. She has the level head for so many different things and the wisdom to be a confidence booster for other horses.

She’s the perfect size, not too tall and not too small. She stands at 15 hands tall but stout enough to carry a bigger rider or pull a heavier load. In fact, when the tractor wasn’t available, she was used to pull round bales out to the pastures and was completely fine with a bail rolling out behind her. She’s very patient for mounting from the ground or if you have a mounting block to ask her to come over, she’ll come pick you up.

She knows how to ride around without a bridle. She can move off of your leg and seat well. She’s mainly been ridden in western, but she can go English as well.

She’s fun for all level of riders. I would say she’s an advanced beginner horse only because she does know her leg cues well. But with supervision she can be used to give lessons to complete beginners as well. She is still fun for the experienced rider too because she knows who she has on her back and takes care of you and matches your level while staying safe and fun.

We bought Sedona straight from the Breeder. We’ve had her here with us for some time now. So, we know her entire history she’s been a family horse her entire life with NO baggage. She was started and finished the right way and has the right foundation under her.

Sedona is one that I would not mind keeping here. She’s an all around amazing horse. I get constant compliments on her ALL the time from her looks to her personality and calmness. It’s hard to let her go, but we get young horses in all the time that we have to keep worked and Sedona would get neglected because she’s not a horse you have to go out and work every day. Where I get young horses in that do need my attention every day so if I did keep her, I feel like that would be selfish to me and her. So, I would love it if she found someone that she could enjoy life with.

She has such a level mind, and she’s been tested in so many different ways and has always proven herself to be a safe well-rounded reliable horse that you can trust in all situations.

I have ridden her down to the river and each time we see kayaks, inner tubes, canoes, and even speedboats go by. And she’ll just stand there and watch them go by. She doesn’t care a bit about traffic or all the hustle and bustle downtown when we drive down there. She’s seen it all from semis, motorcycles, bikes, to the neighbor’s dogs coming out and following us. She is NOT easily phased at all.

She’s patient and is the perfect type of horse to learn how to drive on she’ll stand all day waiting for you to get in the cart. In fact, I can hitch her up all by myself and just leave her stand and walk off into the house to go get stuff and come back and she’ll still be standing in the same spot waiting patiently not tied.

When I get back from driving her, I can unhitch her take all of her equipment off in the yard and have her just follow me without a lead or halter either back to the barn or out to the pasture. Basically, I don’t always take her back to the same spot she knows to follow wherever I lead.
