Sheffield is a 5 year old Friesian x Morgan gelding. If you want the sweet and silly Friesian personality combined with floaty gaits, a good brain, all put together in the perfect 15.1 hand body - Sheffield is your man. He’s more whoa than go, and enjoys taking things slow and steady! He’s happily to hit the trails, hunter paces, and go to clinics. And if you have ambitions for the show ring, he will shine there too! With his sensible mind, flashy moves, and good looks - Sheffield is ready for any adventure.
In the ring, Sheffield is a total blast! He is naturally round and correct, with three balanced gaits. He picks up both leads, has a very comfortable trot and canter, and really just goes around like a dressage horse. He likes to be in the bridle, and listens well to his riders commands. He is putting together basic dressage tests, and will be very easy to bring up the levels. The kids ride him in some lessons, and he is forgiving, smart, and safe.
On the trails, Sheffield is happy to take in the sights. He enjoys getting out and seeing new things, and is happy to ride out alone or in a group. He crosses water, pops over logs, and is safe with traffic, bikes, and ATV’s. He’s easy to load in the trailer and go ride in new places.
In the barn, Sheffield is great to be around. He has the goofball Friesian personality, great manners, and gentle nature. He loves to be loved, and enjoys being around his people. He’s a good boy for all the usual barn tasks, and has no vices or bad habits.
