Meet Tango — a 5-year-old buckskin Friesian cross that turns heads everywhere he goes, but it’s his mind and versatility that truly set him apart. At 15.3 hands, he’s the kind of horse that can safely pack around the kids one day, hit the trails the next, then step into the arena to ride English, Western, jump, or perform at liberty. Horses this beautiful, educated, and genuinely kind-hearted don’t come around often… Tango is the once-in-a-lifetime kind.
From the moment you meet Tango, it’s hard not to fall in love with him. He is incredibly kind, in-your-pocket, and always wants to be part of whatever you’re doing. He even shows his affection in his own unique way—he absolutely loves to lick! Some days, he feels more like a Labrador than a horse.
Tango has truly flourished in his training. He enjoys people, has a soft, willing nature, and there isn’t a mean bone in his body. He has never offered any dangerous behavior and has no bad habits or vices. He’s simply an easy, enjoyable horse to be around every day.
Tango has never been passed around from trainer to trainer or developed through a program where we only knew pieces of his story. We know the owner & trainer that put his first rides on and gave him a solid foundation. The rest of his education has been done by us, not an assistant. This gives us a deep understanding of who he is. We believe there’s real value in buying a horse from the people who have personally invested the time to know, train, and care for him every single day.
He’s maintained on a straightforward program—alfalfa hay only, with no grain or supplements—and is up to date on Coggins, vaccinations, dental care, farrier work, and deworming.
We’ve had Tango on the trails, in town, and to shows. Our daughter has started riding him, and he continues to prove himself as a steady, honest partner. There’s truly not much he can’t do—and he does it all with style.
He’s the kind of horse that gives you confidence. The kind you enjoy being around just as much as riding. He has even been worked at liberty, and seems to genuinely enjoy that connection as well.
