Betty - Stunning Sports Pony Mare

Betty is a homebred mare from the Rosewater Sports Pony Stud that has been professionally backed and produced. Standing at 14.1hh (with shoes on) she was born in 2020 to our mare Colibri (FS Concorde x Good Evening) by the stallion Brando SD (Hilkens Black Delight x Mirage). Betty is now looking for a loving home to take her to her full potential (a long term family home is preferred). Betty possess one of the sweetest, kindest and most enthusiastic characters I have known in a pony.

Sat on for the first time 13 months ago by a professional rider, she was a gem and did all the basics, including a little bit of jumping. She then had a quiet autumn with myself ticking over due to my job. From December she went into professional training due to me lacking the time to further her training. From December we gradually upped her workload and training to enable her to build true confidence and strength. Betty is a pony that will always say yes so with that in mind our preference was not to over face or produce her. She is now at the point where she is ready to up that training in a loving knowledgeable home where she can be her best self.

Although only competed once in unaffiliated dressage she has also been travelling for regular training. Betty really does just take life in her stride, she is naturally independent, she hacks happily alone or in company in open fields, she has some traffic experience but is located on a farm so is used to machinery etc. Betty is happy to stable alone, be bathed, cuddled and plied with attention. She is adored and admired everywhere she goes.
Her lineage is internationally recognised for producing high quality proven competition ponies so on top of being a fantastic riding pony she has the potential to produce exciting progeny one day.

Betty has recently been ridden by a novice child (just turned 13) for the first time, and proved herself to be sensible and confidence giving. She has also had a very small jockey onboard for a walk around for which she was very sweet. Our preference is she now finds someone to build her competition career with whilst also being a much loved part of a family. Betty's nature is playful in the best sense of the word, she has been produced with the intention that she will have a long and successful career ahead of her. Though Betty posses many desirable characteristics she is still relatively green and in her best interest she will not be sold to a novice/inexperienced home.
