Squid not only looks the part but, rides great too! He will work a cow, plod down the trail or lope circles in the arena. He has 3 comfortable gaits and is an easy horse to ride. He is up for trying new things and is not spooky. Squid loads and unloads with ease. He is barefoot and 100% sound. Squid ties, crossties and bathes without issue. He stands well for the vet and farrier and will stand all day to be groomed. He will be a little talkative on the ground to new horses (under saddle he is all business) but gets along with them fine. He lives inside at our house but previously lived outside and seems content both ways. Respects fence. He is an easy keeper has no known illnesses and does not require any maintenance. Squid is traffic and dog safe. He rides in a simple snaffle and is soft in his mouth and through his body. He opens and closes gates and would be the perfect versatility horse. He is very stoutly built and takes up a lot of leg. He’d look great pulling a cart. Squid rides out alone or in a group and doesn’t mind to lead or follow. He has been ridden all through our thick woods and does fantastic. He knows his leads and has an amazing stop. This gelding is truly one of a kind!
