4 YO Grulla Gypsy Vanner x Shire Gelding. Recon stands at 15.3 with a stocky build. He is sound with no known injuries or maintenance and up to date on everything. He doesn’t crib, bite, kick, or weave.
In the barn, Recon has a sweet cuddly personality. He stands quietly to be tacked, bathed, clipped, and for the vet/farrier. He is easy to handle with a great personality.
In the arena, Recon is broke to ride both english and western. He stands to be mounted from the ground or by a block. He is walk trot canters and picks up both leads. Recon is smooth and comfortable undersaddle. He is started over fences and is honest to the jumps. Recon also has desensitization training and is experienced with tarps, flags, balls, and dragging buckets/logs.
On the trails, Recon is solid and reliable. He is sure footed and will cross any terrain. Recon rides out alone or in a group. He is used to traffic, water, bridges, and dogs/cows. He has even by ridden on the side of a major highway with no spook!
Recon is safe enough for a husband but is also athletic enough for dressage, foxhunting, and lower level eventing. No buck, rear, spook, or bolt.
