Meet Nacho, a stunning 2018 model Gypsy Cross gelding who stands a strong and sturdy 14.2 hands. With his four crisp white socks and that beautiful dark brown and white paint coloring, he turns heads everywhere he goes. But as impressive as he looks, it is his steady mind and willing heart that truly set him apart. Nacho has been exposed to about everything you can throw at a horse. He has confidently traveled state roads, handled traffic, made his way up and down steep hills, crossed water, stepped over logs, and explored miles of trails, always with a calm, thinking attitude. He takes each new task in stride and genuinely enjoys having a job. He has been used to check cattle and fence lines, showing he’s not just pretty but also handy around the farm. He does great on group trail rides and is just as dependable when you want to head out alone. One of the best things about Nacho is that you do not have to ride him every day to keep him the same. He comes out with the same good mind and willing attitude no matter how often you climb on. Nacho has been ridden in both the indoor and outdoor arenas and goes nicely western, English, or bareback. He even rides bridle less, which shows his softness, responsiveness, and solid foundational training. He loves attention and is wonderful with children. Truly anyone can ride him — from beginners to seniors to advanced riders. He adjusts to his rider and always tries to make things easy. In the barn and the pasture, Nacho is a true gentleman. He is respectful, polite, and easy to be around. He gets along well with other horses but is also perfectly content being by himself. No drama, no fuss, just an honest, good-minded gelding. His movement is another highlight. Nacho offers three quality gaits, and his trot is something special — smooth, balanced, and the kind you can sit all day long. It is truly a “must feel to believe” trot that makes every ride enjoyable. He is confident with tarps, jugs and whips, stays level-headed in new places, side passes to the mounting block, and always tries to do the right thing. Whether you’re looking for a dependable trail partner, a versatile arena horse, or a safe and steady mount for the whole family, Nacho is the kind that gives you confidence, keeps you smiling, and meets you at the gate ready to go to work with his willing attitude every single day. If this sounds like the horse that you have been looking for, please reach out to Duane @ 330-231-2324 for more information.

Further information

I started my journey in the horse industry in 1995 when I purchased my very first pony at 11 years old. I spent an entire year devoted to training, riding,, and teaching him fun tricks like laying down, sitting, and bowing. I sold him later that year; the feeling of providing a well trained, well behaved, horse was so rewarding that I felt I wanted to continue to share my gift. In 2007, I married my awesome wife Miriam, and we have been blessed with six incredible children (two daughters and four sons) that participate daily with the operation of the farm. What started as myself and a dream has become the full time commitment of my family, and ten employees. The opportunity to share our horsemanship has been so rewarding. In kind, we have been so blessed to learn from professional experts and knowledgeable friends that have voluntarily poured into us their invaluable years of knowledge.

Our program has developed, changed, and grown along the way to ensure that we are producing a quality horse that we know we can stand behind. We start by carefully evaluating each horse before purchase. We specialize in quality quarter horses, draft crosses, and also Friesian and Gypsy crosses, from performance to trail riding to leisure.

After selection, we take the horse through our groundwork program to get connected with them as individuals. We take them through obstacles and trail ride them, exposing them to anything they may ever encounter.

Then, we give the horses a break for up to one month. This allows us to see how the training will stick with them. If they come back in the same place they were before the break we know they are ready to move through the rest of the program and become finished Buckeye Acre Farm horses, learning all of the fun crowd pleasing tricks. We feel we have one of the best soundness guarantees in the business, and we will stand behind that.

This has been an awesome journey, and God continues to bless and humble us each and every day. All of us, from our children to our employees, want to provide the best quality horses that you and your families will enjoy for years to come. Over the years we have experienced that the horse market changes, but also that a quality horse is always in high demand. If you see a horse that meets your needs, please reach out to us. I look forward to your call, and to speaking with you personally about your next equine partner.

May God bless your day.
