Stoney is a handsome palomino roan pony gelding. He is eight years old, standing right at 12.2 hands & built like a TANK.
As willing as they come, this pony has said “yes” to everything we've pointed him at - trail rides, tarps, riding down the road, drives through town, and the list goes on! Inflatable animal suit? He doesn’t care, hop on! He is a unicorn, Stoney is kind and gentle enough to step right into a lesson program.
Stoney is SAFE, the kind of horse that will take care of his rider. He is the ultimate package with his sweet and loving disposition along with the flashy moves. Stoney is BROKE, he rides around like a broke horse should and has all the buttons you could ever need. He neck reins, stays light in the bridle & floats through his gaits. Lopes nice circles, smooth stop, moves off leg pressure & is easy easy easy to get along with! If your kids can hold the reins- they can ride Stoney. He rides any way you want (bareback, western or English).
We have been beyond impressed with how relaxed he has been around all the jam-packed action at our facility. He spent two months being rode by a 11 year old boy this winter- they had an absolute blast together and Stoney patiently helped his young rider improve his riding. Stoney has taught several kids to ride, he is extremely patient and has a heart of gold.
Stoney is also a phenomenal cart pony! He is stands patiently to be harness and hooked. 100% traffic safe and easy to drive.
Anyone can safely & easily handle Stoney. No kick, bite or funny business. Excellent to saddle, bridle and mount. Good with his feet and an absolute gentleman for the farrier.
He loads well, stands tied, can be turned out alone or in a herd, does well in a stall, and has excellent ground manners. Respectful, polite and willing to please, Stoney is ready for his forever home and a family to call his own!
