Jewl is truly one of a kind. Standing at 15.1 hands, this stunning 5-year-old Gypsy/Quarter Horse cross mare has been a cherished part of our family since she was two. We purchased her directly from her breeder, where she was handled daily from birth, and every step of her training with us has been thoughtful and intentional. Jewl has a presence that turns heads and a personality that wins hearts. With her striking color, long mane and tail, and flawless conformation, she’s drop-dead gorgeous—but it’s her sweet, willing disposition that makes her truly special. Whether you’re headed out for a ride or just enjoying her company around the barn, she is always a pleasure to be around. Jewl is well-rounded and confident in a variety of settings. She’s been trail ridden extensively, used on the ranch to gather cattle, and even helped out at brandings. She rides both English and Western, has been started over fences, and shows excellent scope and potential. Jewl has a lovely, ground-covering walk, a smooth trot, and a comfortable lope on a loose rein. She has an excellent one-handed neck rein, a soft face, smooth lead departures, a solid stop off voice command, and a correct side pass. She’s also been ridden bareback. She rides great in groups, and solo—always calm, focused, and willing. Jewl is very accustomed to a rope and has even roped live cattle. She’s game for any new challenge and handles new experiences with confidence and curiosity. Jewl is great with new riders she is forgiving and cautious always right in-tune with her riders needs. Jewl is easy to catch in any setting, hauls like a dream, stands for the farrier, bathes, and tacks up quietly.
