The Haflinger, a popular small breed, has its origin in southern Tyrol (Italy). In general, it is a pony breed for different uses. The breeding history remains obscure. In 1868, the first written reference is found about Arab blood that was introduced in breeding. Haflingers are always rich, ... More about the horse breed Haflinger

Schykira is a 3-year-old, athletic Haflinger mare currently being backed. She has three good basic gaits and, although she is a purebred Haflinger, she has a rather slender build. Standing at 148 cm, she has the ideal size for both young riders and light adult riders. Kira is already comfortable riding in all three gaits in the terrain and has even gone out alone on short rides. She is not spooky and tends to stop if she encounters something unfamiliar. In the riding arena, she moves well for her age in walk, trot, and canter. She is lower in the pecking order within her herd. She loads easily, is vaccinated, and is currently barefoot. Of course, she is not a beginner pony, but due to her willingness to learn and her calm demeanor when ridden, she could be suitable for teenage riders with some support. Trial rides are possible at any time. Please contact us at 0151/25383924.
