Sanfte & feine Hispano-Araber Stute

With a truly heavy heart, I have decided to seek a new home for my 8-year-old Hispano-Arab mare. She has only recently been with me, and it has become clear that she is not coping well with the care I can provide. I also believe that a different environment with more peace in the herd would be beneficial for her.

Galiana is a soul of a horse, and I have grown incredibly fond of her very quickly. This has been the case for everyone who has met her so far - she is gentle, endlessly friendly, calm, curious, and very people-oriented. Spending quality time with her human is the greatest joy for her, and she forms a very close bond with her primary caregiver, but she is also easy to handle with any other person.

She stands at 1.57m and is not a weight carrier!

Galiana is trained without a bit, enjoys and reliably goes out in groups as well as alone. Here, she has a breed-typical healthy and pleasant go, is enduring, and would absolutely be enthusiastic about distances. In the arena, she can also be ridden without any problems, but she still lacks carrying power, as she has primarily been ridden in the field so far. We are just starting with lateral movements at the trot. In classical groundwork, she has been sensitively introduced to all the basics, and we are currently gently expanding the training here as well. She also enjoys all other groundwork activities such as free work, gymnastic lunging, or trail/course obstacles.

Galiana has been provided with hay and pasture according to her needs, which has suited her very well. Since she could even be supplemented, we have now tried ad libitum hay and additionally sparse pasture 24/7. Unfortunately, it turns out that this type of care is not suitable for her in the long term, despite sufficient movement. Therefore, she still requires an adjusted need for roughage (e.g., tightly woven nets). She has also been on pasture for 12 hours during the day without any issues. However, this will remain a point that needs to be observed individually. She is not a rehab horse! The problem is simply that she gains weight too quickly during phases with less movement; in principle, she is very easy to feed with ad libitum feeding. I sincerely wish for her to live in a small, harmonious herd with need-based feeding and sufficient exercise (preferably with a lot of trail riding). Most importantly: there should be no competition ambitions, but rather a desire for true family connection. This horse needs someone who wants to build a genuine relationship with her. She makes it very easy for anyone to like her and connect with her. However, she is not purely a children's horse, as she wants to be treated very sensitively and politely.

Galiana is barefoot, knows herd living (mixed and all-mare groups), and also night box. However, I see the latter more as a temporary solution and explicitly wish for a nice small herd for her.

Currently, she lives in 51789 Lindlar in an all-mare herd with plenty of space.
