Pewter is a STUNNING 7-year-old 15.3 dapple gray Missouri Fox Trotter, a family-owned and loved, well rounded trail horse deluxe! THIS is the horse that everyone is searching for and rarely finds.

We have owned Pewter for 2.5 years and he is only being offered for sale since my husband recently retired and we are downsizing. Pewter is a trail horse extraordinaire, with an ultra smooth, consistent gait. He can cover some ground if you like to ride with gaited horses, or walk slower with non-gaited breeds. Pewter does wonderfully in a crowd of horses, leading, in middle or back – easily separated, as he is not herd bound. He’s very independently minded. Camped extensively. He trailers beautifully (walking in the trailer himself, and backing out calmly, with or without a ramp), stands to mount quietly and is perfect for the farrier, clipping, bathing, saddling, bridling. Not spooky at all – exposed to many elements, including multi-use trail systems, wildlife, bicycles, joggers, cows, goats, sheep, dogs, donkeys, construction equipment, motorcycles, highway traffic, and gunshots. Pewter goes up the steepest slopes, across water and bridges, over downed trees, and through the roughest terrain. Trail ridden in extreme conditions with mud, snow, rivers, and sand. Climbs steep rocky terrain with ease.

NO vices, ties, clips and bathes, goes through all obstacles like a champ. Solid as a rock, easy keeper. No health issues. Solid feet. Super friendly, with a very easy going personality – this horse loves people and companionship. Very easy to catch in the field (he comes to you), quiet and content in a stall, and great with all horses turned out in the pasture. His maturity and easy going personality make it easy for him to excel at everything we have asked of him.

Up to date on all vaccinations, de-worming, teeth floated, sheath cleaned, current coggins, and four new shoes.

If you do not have a PayPal or Venmo account prior to the end of the auction, please create one or make arrangements with a family member/friend who does. PayPal/Venmo deposits must be sent as ‘friends and family’ to avoid fees being applied. We require the remaining balance owed to be wire transferred before the end of the following business day. Bank information for the wire transfer, as well as our PayPal/Venmo details, will be provided during the initial phone call between us and the winning bidder. You are responsible for making transportation arrangements for the horse and must be picked up within two weeks of the auction, or additional boarding fees will ensue.
